Making Some Big Noise at Big Noise Studios!

Big Noise Studios

Our latest rehearsals brought us to a new town, a new venue and lots more new songs to learn.

The aptly named Big Noise Studios in Northampton was our home last weekend as we packed in another afternoon of rock ‘n roll awesomeness. We were trying so hard, Baz put a stick through his snare skin. OUCH!

Our thoughts are now turning to defending the highly coveted Constructions Rocks crown we won last year and which rockin’ good tracks to perform. This year it’s being held at the world renowned Scala, in Kings Cross, London again on Thursday 6th October and we’re going to have to be on our game to win it a second year in a row! 🙂 But we love a challenge!

Zero Charm – Award Winners!

Zero Charm take top honours at this year’s world renowned “Construction Rocks” Battle of the Bands.

ZCWinnersA packed out house at London’s top rock venue, Scala, were treated to a night of pure rock n’ roll magic. It was also the scene of unbridled joy as Zero Charm took the coveted top prize after a storming performance.

Up against 9 other very strong contender for the title, Zero Charm had to be on song to impress the ever-critical ears of the Judges, Peter French (Atomic Rooster), Gina Way (Founder, Eel Pie Club), Chris Liddle (Chairman, HLM) and Sarah Richardson (Editor, Building Magazine). But with a powerful and crowd pleasing set, the ‘Charm’s crown was secured for another year.

“Well, the dust has finally settled on a monumentally successful and brilliant Construction Rocks event on Thursday 24th September 2015. The Construction Rocks extravaganza took place at Scala Kings Cross which turned out to be pretty much the perfect venue for the ten participating bands as well as the 575 fans and supporters. The Judges loved it, the compère loved it and the founders of the event Bill Price and Nigel Fraser loved it.” Construction Rock.

Rocking Scala!

Quotes from the night …

But the big gong for overall winner went to Construction Rocks veterans Zero Charm with a storming performance featuring songs from the likes of Bon Jovi and Guns N’ Roses. With both the crowd and the judges on their side it was a well-deserved triumph.” James Clegg, Building
